The special dance stage is prepared with a cart thill in the middle. Through this cart thill, the shamanistic soul shall come down in the dance stage according to the belief. Shamans perform their rituals to call their souls not only before the Andai dancing, but also during the dance performance.

Andai dancers always hold kerchief or scarf in their hands and wave during their dance motion or foot stamping process during the round dance movements to symbolize the removal and expelling of all the worst.

Among them, we will find three dancers that are a shaman, a woman of andai actions, and a man protecting the woman and to lead and manage during the dance performance.

Participants of andai dance perform from evening until the dawn holding a torch in ancient time or a lantern in later time.
